Auto Shutdown Tool
You can specify the settings for auto shutdown using the following procedure.

Copy the Auto Shutdown Tool to your computer.
Files to be copied differ depending on your environment.
32-bit environment
For rpm packages:
XXXXXX/CANON_UK/32-bit_Tool/RPM/autoshutdowntool_x.xx-x_i386_rpm.tar.gz
For deb packages:
XXXXXX/CANON_UK/32-bit_Tool/Debian/autoshutdowntool_x.xx-x_i386_deb.tar.gz
64-bit environment
For rpm packages:
XXXXXX/CANON_UK/64-bit_Tool/RPM/autoshutdowntool_x.xx-x_x86_64_rpm.tar.gz
For deb packages:
XXXXXX/CANON_UK/64-bit_Tool/Debian/autoshutdowntool_x.xx-x_amd64_deb.tar.gz
IMPORTANT
If the destination path for copying the tool exceeds 255 characters, the tool cannot be started up.
NOTE
The tool version is given as “x.xx-x”.
If the tool cannot be started up, enter the following command to restart the ccpd daemon.
# /etc/init.d/ccpd restart

Extract the copied compressed files.

Double-click the icon to start up the Auto Shutdown Tool.
NOTE
To start up the Auto Shutdown Tool from the command line, use the following procedure.
(1)
Specify the location where the tool is saved.
$ cd [path where Auto Shutdown Tool is saved]
(2)
Start up the tool.
$ ./autoshutdowntool

Select a printer, and then click [Auto Shutdown Settings].

Specify the settings for auto shutdown.
(1)
Select the [Auto Shutdown after Fixed Period] check box.
(2)
Specify the time to shut down in [Auto Shutdown After].
(3)
Click [OK].
NOTE
About the setting for the time to execute auto shutdown
When [Auto Shutdown After] is changed during sleep mode, the specified time to execute auto shutdown is reset.
You can specify [Auto Shutdown After] for auto shutdown with 1 hour increments between [1hr.] and [8hr.].
